Yeah, but you can do the same thing on youtube. I just went and cleared out my search and viewing history and then paused it.

It said mine was paused but I went to"account settings" > "products" and "edit" and "delete web history" and that turned it 'off'.

Well I only watch YouTube for songs and clips it still going to save it. YouTube is used via google, not completely but they are connected. Not like I am searching porn on YouTube.

And the even more weird thing about YouTube is what is in my history on my iPad, iPhone, or computer are different. Under the same account...at the end of the day it doesn't matter it will save whatever you do on the computer. Unless you completely stop using the internet and even so it is on your hard drive. It never really goes away even if you "clear " your history. You can try...but nothing.

So wait, I don't have Google+ or a gmail account. I don't have my name on my Google account, just an email address. And the only reason I have that is for YouTube (which I only use to look at videos, never uploaded anything). So does that mean I don't have to do anything or should I still do this?

Mine was already turned off.

I only have one because I couldn't use my YouTube account without one. Not cool! I used all fake info, though.

I have a couple of Google accounts and when I went into my web history, it says "Web History is paused. Your search history is currently empty."

So I guess I never had this setting turned on.
