I never knew my great grandfather on my father side was white
Also, they have the death dates of my grandparents wrong. They have my grandmother listed as dying in 1995, she passed in 1981. Plus everyone
elses death date was wrong. Seriously thats something they should've double checked on before putting it on the DVD.

Did someone is your family make that? Or was it just some random person?

Your dad never told you his grandpa was white?

It's really weird tracing back your family. My great great grandma was English.... I thought that was weird!

My great grandmother was a foster child and became a slave in England.

My great great grandfather on my mom's side was white.
I think NiteSky is Mexican...I could be making that up though. |

I pretty much assumed my great grandfather was white, because of how my grandmother looked. But I had never seen a picture of him before.
I'm really shocked at how good looking he is. |

I'm also curious how all of that went down, considering they married in 1917. Didn't even think interracial marriage was legal?

I've seen an old pic of my great great... he uh... yeah. Scary redhead.
Genetics are crazy because my grandma had fine hair but she was dark, her brother and sister have light eyes and the orangeybrown hair. A lot of my folks have brown/red hair and freckles but my grandmother and all of her offspring just have dark features. It sucks my folks don't have more...tangible history. Just a few pics here and there and my great aunt and uncle's stories. |

Yeah -- we have very few pictures of my great grandmother from her younger years. I wish I could show y'all a picture of my grandmother & her sister. They are absolutely beautiful. They are dressed in hawaiian print bra tops & longs skirts. They look like polynesian women -- with the long black silky hair. |

ME TOO! My mom thinks they weren't really married though. We don't really know. Yeah, I'm guessing they weren't legally married. I have no idea. The picture is obviously black & white. But he appears to have lighter hair & eyes. |

My great grandma apparently lived to be 120. Or legend tells us. But no one will know because there were no birth certificates in Nigeria when she was born.
I don't think I have any white ancestors! But my great great uncle did some sort of black magic shit apparently! Says my grandma. Legend tells that when he died his chest was still moving up and down like he was breathing, except he was dead. |

If his chest was moving he probably wasn't dead.
I don't know though! Let me shut up. I don't need any spirits running up on me in my sleep. |

I'm having a backwards moment with this post. Everytime I glance at it I read it as 'I just watched my family history on ABC Family'
