it was crap. i watched it because i thought that michael was going to be honored, but he wasn't. i understand that the time constraints made it difficult to put a decent show together, but they should have made the show about michael.

According to Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé was supposed to open with "I'll Be There" but the producers wanted something upbeat at the last minute so they switched her to Ave Maria and New Edition in the opening spot. Go figure.

I have no doubts that the VMAs will put together an epic tribute, they have plenty of time to prepare and get everyone involved.

As for BET they should've just put together a video tribute and aired it during the show instead of feeding people bullshit about "tribute performances"

My boyfriend has 106 & Park on right now (which I loathe) and they keep talking about how great and epic the awards were and I'm thinking were we watching the same show?? BET should be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully MTV will do better because I don't think they could do worse then that shitty show they claimed to be in tribute of Michael Jackson.
