The basket idea is an awesome one, and also if she said she wanted diaper bags, do the same thing, with diapers and wipes and suckies, and also the kit with all of the necessities like aspirator, medicine spoon, thermometer, and nail clippers, get some towels, and stuff like that to fill a diaper bag... My cousin had a registry like that and I knew she had no idea what she needed (her Mom is an idiot too) so I went to WalMart and made a gift basket for under $50 that ended up being pretty nice.
