        <![CDATA[ Because I got it (the whole 3-shot series) 2 1/2 years ago and my gyno&#39;s office just called me to say that I have hpv and need to have that procedure to
get my cervix scraped. Like my culture is completely normal and I don&#39;t have any abnormal cells, so it&#39;s not bad, but my gyno does regular STD
screenings in the pap smears.


I&#39;m so pissed though. What a fucking waste of money. Nevermind the fact that I never had random sex with random people. It&#39;s not like I have a... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ I had all three of the shots, and after my 2nd shot, I found out I have HPV. My pap came back abnormal last year, and I had a colposcopy and biopsy done. I
have mild dysplasia, so I have had a pap every 6 months, all have come back abnormal. I just had my 2nd colposcopy this week, but haven&#39;t heard back. I
hate having to get exams so often (once a year was enough!), but I&#39;m not taking any chances.

			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t know because when I was told I had it, I was given a print out with the specific strands on it.  My gyno said when the pap comes back abnormal,
they then test it for HPV.  If it comes back as HPV (because sometimes abnormal can be something simple like a yeast infection, your period coming on ect...)
they do a colposcopy to take a sample of your cervix to see if they cells are cancerous or not.  After I had that done I had paps every 3 months for a year to
monitor the cells and... ]]></description>

</div>That isn&#39;t making sense to me. If you have a type of HPV that clears up you can&#39;t get it again, once you have it, you have it.  And if your
partner has the same kind there&#39;s no point in using condoms. If this is a new partner then I understand...condoms may protect you some.
