I do not have nipple piercings.

I do, however, have piercing nipples, if I must say so myself.

my boyfriend is very straight laced and against body modification in pretty much all senses of the word. I figured if i got my nipples pierced that would at least be something that we could enjoy together and no one else would ever have to know about them being there.

My best friend said one of hers hurt and the other didn't. She was sore for about a week.

I just got mine done a week ago. I didn't think it hurt at all through the actual procedure. I think the worst part was like the next two or three days.. just them being sore. Keep them clean, I put oversized gauze pad things into my bra and changed them throughout the day. I used Dial soap for sure, the soap burns though when it gets into your nipple..lol but it's all very tolerable. I just can't wait for them to heal totally so I can 'enjoy' them.

Tolerable.

For me, it hurt immensely as he put the needle through and then died down rather quickly. The left one, the one that got done first, tingled for a little bit afterwards, but after the right was done, there was no pain afterwards.

Another suggestion, purchase two bags of corn or peas. They're great ice packs. So, that afternoon, I took it easy and watched TV while icing myself but it was more...

I have both done.

My suggestion is to buy panty liners. Cut a liner in half and place each half in a bra cup. This will keep from "ruining" your bra after the piercing since you will probably spot blood afterwards. I did this for about a week and changed the liners throughout the day. I got my piercings done in the beginning of the summer, so I didn't want sweat to collect and risk an infection.
