Having a baby at 16 out of wedlock is not "becoming more normal". Yes it is a reality - but its definitely not going to be the norm. Give me a break.

Sorry-- everyone already knows having two parents is a huge ass deal, regardless of how awesome a single parent is. Having a parent who didnt have to end their childhood is also a big ass deal.

To argue that just because its a reality makes it right and that "conservatives" need to lighten up is...

That sounds a bit exagerated. Anywhere else in the world, people would have been shocked for 5 minutes and then moved on. It's really blowing out of proportions; it's her life after all.

The show could have just replaced her. Unless the ratings were already bad, then I can see why they would just go ahead and cancel it.

I guess I just don't understand why people are reacting so heavily about this. She messed up, big deal.

It's a known fact of being on kids TV - you had better keep your nose clean, at least publicly. Parents will not tolerate people they view as unsuitable being on their children's shows, and at that age parents control the buying of any merchandise/what the child is viewing. You piss of fthe parents, you lose the audience because the parents put their collective foot down. Then the show goes under any way.

Pregnant teen star on a kids' show was never going to go down...

I know this is totally different, so don't attack me, but Trina McGee from "Boy meets world" (she was Angela) was pregnant when they filmed the show, becuase she's a lot older than Angela. they hid her pregnancy VERY well, and BMW was a kids show. i think they could do the same with JL.

Well, lots of people rise to the occasion when faced with difficult and challenging situations. That doesn't mean it's a good thing she got pregnant. Seems to me folks are going to extremes; either she's a slut or it's no big deal because it happens all the time. Things just aren't that black and white. There's a whole lot of gray here.

Staff members at Nick Studios in Burbank where called into a emergency meeting by Zoey 101 producer Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon Creative Director & Chief of Staff Lisa Judson.

Nick.com has removed Zoey 101 message boards from the main page

Zoey 101 clothing line and electronics line has been scrapped.

Season 4 is finished filming and will air on Nick starting airing February 2008. If ratings go down new episodes will air on The N network....
