but it's been a push to get the Books, Media, Health, Deals, Fashion forums. those were a bitch to get. they arne't just going to add another forum for tech questions.

i dono this is just a never ending argument that is never going to be resolved bc the mods don't come in here.

I think you need to reread your replies to me. You have said more then "MC doesn't have many tech questions". What I am saying is a tech forum can be added as can others.

i only linked the FAQ's Ben has a board that has a Tech forum for such questions. I'm just saying that MC doesn't have that many tech questions in it anymore. It's more "where can i get this song" etc.

Like maybe a pc help forum or maybe a pc app forum or an auto forum. There are lots of forums that can be added that might intrest some that can't get into MC.

I wouldn't say to really change GD. I would say to think about adding a few sub-forums.

go to OP there you got pics of celebs, theres a health & beauty, or TV & movies (to name a few).

GD is as Ben said, what makes JJB what it is. it's general discussion so anything really goes (w/ some limits but not a lot). It's not a set thing, so your going to get random things about how someones cats hungry or pregnacy tests.

Don't like the way JJB is run then leave. No one is forcing you to stay just bc MC is closed.

There are other forums here besides General Discussion (GD). However, if none of them interest you besides MC, then this probably isn't the right board for you.

It doesn't matter how much you know about forums. I have been running websites and forums for a long time, and I know that JJB is a board where fast-moving chat is what a lot of the members like. I guarantee you will never change GD - it's what makes JJB what it is. I'd even go so far as to say that MC will...

I agree it is a mess in there, Have you read some of the posts? Pregnacy test, shampoo, "I hate when I get home and my cat is hungry", ect. It's a big mess. I have been running forums for a long time. There has to be a way to meet half way on it. If an Admin would chime in maybe we could all toss around some ideas.

I also don't post too much but have been coming to this board since it was all about NSYNC and this does suck....but oh well there's nothing I can do about it....I'm gathering that I have to get my posts up so I guess I'll get started on that!

just answer some of the question posts in GD like "what are you listening to now" or "McD's or Burger King?" You'll have more posts in no time without spamming.

heck, you could back to the "what are you listening to now" post every time you log on and get a bunch that way.
