I wanted to read Dear John and Julia and Julia during summer but didn't have enough time. Any other recommendations?

So I love to read all types of books, but lately, have been wanting to get back into supernatural love type of things. But nothing has captured my interest like the twilight saga series has. I have a few other vampire books (thirst, vampire diaries, everglow, etc), but I'm kind of wanting to steer away from vampires since, impo, no one can write them like her and maintain my interest.

I was wondering if anyone has any other recc's for a forbidden supernatural love story,...

I got this book by Nina Bangs at a major shopping store here while wasting time before a doctor's appointment. It was very intriguing and had me in another world. As you can tell by the title, it has some vampires in it and the main one is Dacian who falls in love with a human. It can be quite sensual and sexy at different parts of the book at just the right moments. Have any you read it and liked it also?

All about the Sorting Hat, these ones...

1) Did the Sorting Hat just scream 'Slytherin' the second it touched Tom Riddle's head or did it have a mental conversation with him like it did Harry?
2) What was the longest it ever took to sort somebody and why?
3) Did it have trouble deciding whether to put Hermione in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, since she's such a clever clogs?
4) Does it spend all school year writing its next song?

I am about 3/4 of the way through this book and I absolutely love it. I'm usually disappointed in most book endings, so hopefully that isn't the case with this one. But so far, I highly recommend this book. It's such a page-turner - I haven't put it down for 2 days!
